When associates at Life Care Center of Brookfield, Missouri, saw the devastation caused by flooding in Brunswick, Missouri, they decided to step up and help.

Associates organized a week-long drive in the community to collect cleaning supplies, paper products, water, Gatorade and personal products for those displaced. Together, they filled a van and a pickup truck with the donations.

On May 31, 2019, associates delivered the supplies to Brunswick City Hall, and several of them also got their hands involved with sandbagging.

“It was the right thing to do,” said Kayle Lichtenberg, receptionist, who came up with the idea and assisted Tammie Henderson, business development director in organizing the facility’s efforts. “The community needed help, and we could help them. They would do the same thing for us if we needed help.”

Associates delivered a second load of supplies on June 28.
